1. It Brings You Joy
"My Favorite Things" by Jodi Benson - Pattern #651
This might seem like an obvious answer, but it's still important to remember.
If you enjoy the scrapbook process, you will never go wrong doing it during your spare time. You might like choosing the photos you will use next, rolling the dies through the machine and/or finally sticking down the embellishments you have been waiting to use.
Having joy in the process is enough reason to keep your hobby going!
2. It's Good For Your Memory
Not only is scrapbooking an enjoyable hobby - it also helps your brain!
Looking back at your past keeps your memory sharp! You and your family may have an easier time recalling past events. You might remember names of old friends, the cuckoo clock that's no longer in your home, or the dance recital from 1999.
We often remember things because we made a page about them, and that's a great benefit of this hobby!

3. Helps Express Your Creativity
Use your scrapbook hobby to share your creative voice.
What colors do you like? Which type of embellishments do you tend to choose? How do you piece every element together on the page? What you choose for your pages says something about who you are!
Get your creative juices flowing and scrapbook!
4. Helps with Your Stress
All of us go through hard and stressful times.
Scrapbooking helps distract you from the stresses in your life. After a long day, you have something to look forward to. Making these pages helps keep your excitement going when you're back from a vacation. The bonus is you get to look at the happy times from your photo stash, and that certainly distracts from the stress!

One of the benefits of scrapbooking is it provides an opportunity to socialize. It's fun to be with others who also enjoy the same hobby, and you can teach each other new techniques and skills. Making pages together can be a great time!
If you are unable to meet with other scrapbookers in person, we would love to have you connect on our Facebook group.
6. Provides a Way to Feel Your Emotions
Do you like to sit on the couch and go through your scrapbook albums?
Looking through an album can bring up a variety of emotions. After a hard day, you may want to see all the memories that bring you cheer. Other times, you might feel sad or even grieve things that have changed. A scrapbook page can bring you to tears.
Feeling your emotions is important, and a scrapbook album can provide a way to let them out.

Do you love collecting little stickers or ephemera? Maybe you enjoy saving theatre tickets or postcards?
One of the joys of scrapbooking is the little things you find and keep on your pages. For example, Paije found this postcard at California Adventure park, and a scrapbook page was a great place to display and store it. But, the items could be the cute embellishments you found at the craft store, or a little drawing your child gave you.

8. Gives You a Sense of Accomplishment
How do you feel when you finish a scrapbook page?
Every page you make is an accomplishment, and it feels so satisfying! You might also feel great completing a page with a new Level 3 die you have been waiting to try. Maybe you tried out a new skill, and it feels like a victory to see the finished product.
Considering how many pages there are to make and albums to fill - that is a lot of satisfaction!

10. It Challenges You!
Scrapbooking is fabulous for your own personal development.
When you are learning a new skill or learning to use a new die, this can be a challenge!
