On a Roll with the Paw & Bone Die Set! Refreshing Pattern #333
This remake is of a newer pattern from the gallery and utilizes the multiple 2×2 squares for our featured die, the Paw & Bone Die Set. Ideally, any of our cornerstone dies (2×2’s) would be right for this idea.
Pattern #333 has two columns of 2×2 squares that I have filled with 4 of the paw print tiles, one photo divided into two tiles and 4 fussy cut tiles of patterned paper. Instead of filling these squares with all photos, the fussy cut squares lets me introduce several of the Paw Patrol characters that are ever so important to the fan club! Multiple paw print tiles add a checkerboard tile effect. There are three larger photos of my main subject, a strip for the title and a section that includes a box for my journaling that is framed by two bone tiles.
I am using a Cocoa Mosaic Moments Grid Paper for the foundation. Paper tiles in Cocoa, Pumpkin, Deep Terra Cotta and also oatmeal cardstock will blend nicely together with the colors of the pups in Emmi’s arms. I had a pack of Paw Patrol papers and embellishments that I had purchased on sale because we have a house full of Paw Patrol fans and I knew we’d do something someday with them. As I began I was wondering how I’d take the mostly primary colored papers and the bright blue Paw Patrol pj’s and make it work on the Cocoa Grid…fortunately one of the papers in yellow drew it all together.
A touch of journaling in a block with a 2×1 strip of the bone tile above and below becomes a place to tell a bit of your story.
Sometimes just the simplest things can bring a fresh look to a favorite pattern and a cornerstone die can become so much more on a page than just adorning a corner spot, it can be the star! Whether you have pet page to create or if like me, have a Paw Patrol fan to please I think you’ll love the Paw & Bone Die Set.
