Mosaic Moments Grid Cards make wonderful Holiday cards using a wide choice of dies from which to choose. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
- Joy (Circle Center Die, 1×4 Horizon die, Holly Border die set)
- Plaid Christmas (Fir Tree Die Set)
- Snowflakes (Snowflake set)
- Glitter and Pearls (Forest Border Dies)
- New Year (Hand Bell Die, Alpha 3 Caps, and Numbers dies)
I’ve focused on a few of the 2×2’s and border dies for these cards and I hope they will give you some inspiration for creating some of your own.
1. Joy
- Mosaic Moments Grid Cards
- Mosaic Moments Circle-Center Die
- Mosaic Moments 1×4 Horizon Die
- Mosaic Moments Holly Border Die
- Kaiser Craft Peace and Joy 6.5”x6.5” patterned paper pad
- Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass Greetings (SSS101768)
- Nuvo Crystal Drops Autumn Red
- Prismacolor Pencils with Gamsol
Quick and easy to assemble, this card was perfect for adding Nuvo drops. A small pool on drops in the well of the holly berry adds color and texture and when it is fully dry is self-leveling. The word JOY is stamped and then colored with Prismacolors and Gamsol technique. They are trimmed apart and centered in each section of the Circle Center Dies. The KaiserCraft Peace & Joy papers are perfect for cardmaking!
2. Plaid Christmas
- Mosaic Moments Grid Cards
- Mosaic Moments Fir Tree die
- My Mind’s Eye Comfort & Joy Collection – Caramel Macchiato cardstock
- Plaid patterned paper
- Clear Sequins
- Wink of Stella clear glimmer (brushed on white pine branches)
Paper was cut so it would all stay in the pattern. The center 2×2 section I used the Fir Tree die and a square of plaid were laid in the background. Each tree is topped with a single sequin.
3. Snowflakes
- Mosaic Moments Grid Cards
- Mosaic Moments Snowflakes die
- Mosaic Moments 2.125” grid die
- Mosaic Moments Circle Grid die
- Lawn Fawn Merry Christmas border die
- Doodlebug Designs double-sided Swiss Dot in Swimming Pool
- White, Pale Aqua and Teal cardstock
- Stick It adhesive
Cut the pale aqua with the circle grid, the Swiss dot with the 2.125” square grid. Cut 3 snowflakes from the teal and 3 from the white. Assemble. Use the Stick It for the snowflakes. The Merry Christmas greeting is cut twice and stacked and centered on the card
4. Glitter and Pearls
- Mosaic Moments Grid Cards
- Mosaic Moments Forest Border Dies
- Mosaic Moments Die Sets B & D
- EK Success 1” punch
- Core’dinations Pearl paper in Navy Blue
- Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coated paper: white
- Creative Crafts Merry Christmas die
- Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue
Use the Basic Dies to cut the blue pearl sections. I increased my pressure on my Evolution Advanced just a tad to cut through the heavier weight glitter cardstock. I took the outtakes of the tree dies and lined a trio of trees overlapping just a bit for each of the side sections. To line up the trees, I used a T-Square ruler secured to the side of my mat to help me to line things up so very nicely! Once everything was on the card I put some weight on top to allow the glue to dry and keep all the pieces flat and in place.
5. New Year’s Party Card
- Mosaic Moments Grid Cards
- Mosaic Moments Hand Bell Die
- Mosaic Moments Alpha 3 Caps and Numbers
- Patterned paper
- Mirror Cardstock in Silver, Red, Blue, and Green
- Taylored Expressions Mini-Strips Die
Three squares in patterned paper, 1×6 sections and 6 – 1” squares are for the bases. The bells are cut from the mirror cardstock. To get the red bell to ring in the opposite direction I cut the red from the backside of the cardstock. The Letters are cut from the silver and glued in place. My new mini-strip die from Taylored Expressions is a huge time saver for me and it makes precise strips for the type of tagging I enjoy on my pages. I wrote the message with a white gel pen and trimmed one to the size I needed. If you are having a party to ring out the old and in with the new, this just might be a fun card to send to your prospective guests!
If you have a few special friends that you’d like to send a special Christmas greeting to you just might find you’ll love playing around with your die and the Mosaic Moments Grid Cards!
