Scrapbooking Your Christmas Recipes

Is your home filled with the warmth and fragrance of holiday baking? This is usually one of the busiest times for my daughter Hannah with her bakery. The kitchen is always a mixture of sweet and spicy aromas! I asked her for photos of one of the newest recipes she’s made to make this page. So pull out your Christmas Recipes, grab your camera and let’s get started!

I hope you will see how quick and easy it is to put together a page using this new die pattern # 122. It is all squares and using our all squares Set A Dies, you will be able to complete it in no time flat! I used a 1” punch to cut the patterned paper for the outside edge as that was a bit easier cutting from a larger 12 x 12 sheet.

I love to look at recipe books and all the photos that make your mouth water; and if they are full of photos of the whole step-by-step process, even better.

This pattern allows for 12-2×2 block photos and I have showcased the steps from the first to the last. I’ve used the center 4×4 block for a big title, mounted on patterned paper. The 12 x 12 Mosaic Moments Grid that I have used for this layout is Forrest.

Hidden from view, behind the title block on the backside of the scrapbook page is a pocket to store the recipe. As an option, a slit cut along the topside of the title block for access to the pocket on the back makes it possible to pull the recipe through with just a bit of twine attached to the card.

Christmas Recipes: I cut a 5" square scored 1/2" on the bottom and 1/4" on the sides taper cut the corners and top edge. Adhere to the back just below the title block on the front.

For my title I used my LumaPix FotoFusion program to put it together and did a twist-up on the word “Upside.” I don’t recall what you call this, but it does have a name, I thought it would be a bit of fun to flip the word.
