Fourth of July Sweethearts!

Image

"Patriotic Cuties" by Danielle Lawson - Pattern #344

The Sweetheart dies are normally used for Valentine's Day, Weddings, Anniversaries, and engagement photos. But, you can also use them for other holidays like 4th of July with your loved ones.

They look perfectly suited for a sweet patriotic layout with these adorable red, white, & blue babies. Danielle cut the outlines with a navy cardstock. She filled the larger sections with photos, and the smaller sections with a light blue cardstock. For the Sweetheart 3x3 corner die cuts, Danielle put a red, white, and blue striped pattern paper for extra interest and more patriotic charm. In the very center of her layout, she cropped her focal photo with the layering die (3.875x3.875 inches) from the Basic Die Bundle and placed it over the Sweetheart 4x4 Die.

Use the Sweetheart Dies to frame your loved ones for your fourth of July activities.

This Layout Features: 12x12 Fresh Malt Grid Paper, Sweetheart 4x4 Die, Sweetheart 3x4 Die, and Sweetheart 3x3 Die, and the Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored. Pattern paper from Pebbles™.

"July 4th 2021" by Jodi Benson - Pattern #731

You could argue that there is no better addition to an Independence Day layout than stars. We have many different star dies that add just enough patriotic embellishments to make your 4th of July layouts shine.

Jodi used the Stitches & Stars 2x2 Die and the 1x1 stars from the Stitches & Stars Banner Die placed on 1x1 squares. She gave each set of stars a different look with various orders of red, white, and blue cardstock.  Jodi placed 1x2 patriotic flower pattern paper which is the perfect embellishment to this patriotic sisters layout.

Stars are the perfect strong design choice for Independence Day photos, so keep adding those stars to your patriotic layouts.

This Layout Features: 12x12 Navy Grid Paper, Stitches & Stars 2x2 Die Set, Stitches & Stars Banner Die, Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored. Pattern paper from Bella Blvd™.

Create Circles of Patriotic Photos

Image

"Mount Rushmore 2019" by Jodi Benson - Pattern #679

Circles are great complements to any of your patriotic photos.

One circle design we love is made with the Horizon Collection. They create a large full page circle that can fit a lot of photos or pattern papers. Jodi used the Horizon 4x5 die, the Horizon 3x4 Die and the Horizon 3x3 die to create this lovely circle for her Mount Rushmore photos. She used two different pattern papers: a patriotic floral paper and a blue star paper. She alternated them for each section of the circle and inside and outside of the four corner sections. Then she added the month and year in Alphabet 3 and Numbers 3 dies to complete this Layout.

The Horizon circle is a perfect layout for your patriotic travel photos.

This Layout Features: 12x12 Brick Grid Paper, Horizon Die Set, Horizon 4x5 Die Set, Alphabet 3 CAPS Die Set, and Numbers 3 Die Set. Pattern paper from Doodlebug™.

Put It On the Map!

"Day Trip to Monticello" by Jodi Benson - Pattern #385

The USA Stitched Frame is a map of the US that you can use to frame your patriotic focal photo.

Jodi used a long distance shot of Monticello for her USA Stitched Frame Die. The tiny heart and the marker dies that come in the set were added to the focal point. Plus, she added the stitched road sign and car die to 1x1 squares on the page. To add more color, 1x1 squares of striped paper were placed on the page.

Put your next patriotic travel pictures on the map with the Stitched Frame Die.

This Layout Features: 12x12 Navy Grid Paper, USA Stitched Frame, the Layering Die Bundle Colored A-L through E-L, and the Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored. Pattern paper from PhotoPlay™.

Add A Star Frame

Image

"Sparklers" by Lauren Jones - Pattern #100

Another super easy way to make a patriotic page is to add a star frame to your layout.

Lauren used the Stitched Stars Frame Die on her 4th of July sparklers layout. She framed her photo of a sparkler to make a large embellishment. Four 1x3 strips of blue cardstock were added and topped them with white stars from the Stitches & Stars Banner dies. The Basic Dies were used to crop her photos and the firework pattern paper, and then she called this layout done.

A star frame is a quick and simple way to make your patriotic layouts really stand out.

This Layout Features: 12x12 White Grid Paper, Stitched Stars Frame Die Set, stars from Stitches & Stars Banner Die, the Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored. Pattern paper from Carta Bella™.

Choose the Wright Corners

"Celebrating At Yorktown" by Jodi Benson - Pattern #891

Another super easy way to make your patriotic layouts stand out is by using the Wright Corners dies.

The Wright Corners dies are simple and graphic frames. They have a slim profile so you can see more of your photos, and as you can see on Jodi's layout, they add just a little something extra. Jodi cut the frames in white and added red pattern paper to the long strips; blue pattern paper was placed in the tiny square corners. On the rest of the layout, Jodi added patriotic floral paper and two journaling embellishments to finish her patriotic page.

Use the Wright Corners dies to frame your most memorable patriotic photos, and as a lovely modern feature.

This Layout Features: 12x12 Prussian Blue Grid Paper, Wright Corners 4x6 & 4x2 Die Set, the Layering Die Bundle Colored A-L through E-L, and the Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored. Pattern paper from Doodlebug™.

Make Your Page Shine with Clover Dies

Image

"Celebrating At Colonial Williamsburg" by Jodi Benson - Pattern #102

The Clover Dies will make your patriotic layouts sparkle and shine.

For her Colonial Williamsburg 4th of July page, Jodi used the 4x4 Clover Die. She placed four die cuts in the center of her layout for a round sweeping look. Her photos were also placed in the center, and blue pattern paper was added in the corners. A full page frame was created with 1x4 strips of firework pattern paper and 1x1 Star Dies in the four corners.

It may be a surprise to use the Clover dies for a patriotic theme, but you can see they make a layout that's bursting with patriotism, creativity, sparkle, and shine.

This Layout Features: 12x12 Brick Grid Paper, Clover Die Set, Star Die Set,  and the Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored. Pattern paper from Doodlebug™.

Stitches & Stars!

"4th at Caledonia" by Lauren Jones - Pattern #657

When you need a new quick and easy patriotic layout idea, try using the Stitches Frame dies and stars.

Lauren used the Stitches Frame 4x5 in a light blue cardstock and the Stitches Frame 3x4 in a dark blue cardstock. Four of her photos were framed with the stitched die cuts. For bursts of color, lots of multi-sized and multi-colored stars were added to the frame corners. She created two rows on top and bottom of the page of red, white, and blue stars made with patterned paper and cardstock. These stars came from the Stitches & Stars Banner Die.

This super fun layout owes its patriotic charm to the Stitches Frames and the star dies.

This Layout Features: 12x12 White Grid Paper, Stitches Frame 4x5 Die Set, Stitches Frame 3x4 Die Set, Stitched Stars Frame Die Set, Stitches & Stars Banner Die, and Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored. Pattern paper from Doodlebug™.

Display Your Fireworks with Strips

Image

"Fireworks 2014" by Paije Potter - Pattern #488

One of our favorite ways to display your fireworks photos is by using the Strips dies.

You can create a full page row of fireworks photos that look like you captured the whole night sky in one photo, like Paije did above. For this page, she used the 1x3 and 1x4 strips dies to accomplish this feat. Three different photos were cut, but they look like one panorama. To accommodate the 4x6 matted photo, she used the 1x3 Strips above her focal point. A firework photo was cut into four 1x1 squares for the bottom of her layout, making it a perfect spot of the year.

Use the Strips dies to make a large panorama of the fireworks; you won't regret it.

This Layout Features: 12x12 Navy Grid Paper, Strips Cut 1x3.25 Die, Strips 1x4 Die, Numbers 2 Die Set, the Layering Die Bundle Colored A-L through E-L, and the Basic Die Bundle A-E & 1" Grid - Colored.
