This is a very basic version of an exploding box. I wanted to make a quick gift to give to my neighbor for Mother’s Day.
I started with the white 4×4 RTC Grid Paper, removing the outer squares and scoring the remaining squares to create a box.
*Cut 4in x 4inch square from each corner of paper. Then score across each edge of the center square to make an easy fold. (See image above.)
I cut photos into one inch squares as the main focal point for the four panels and filled the center square with card-stock and Clearly TypeStack Stamps, Vacation, All Season and Juicy Words.
Then you will need to make a lid. Cut a 6×6 piece of card-stock, score one inch from the outside on all four sides, cut only one side on all four sides as shown, adhere with double sided adhesive. Embellish with ribbon.
Turn your grid paper over and cover the sides with pattern paper of your choice. Cut (4) 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 squares and adhered them to the sides.
Bring the sides of your grid paper up to form a box and place lid on top.
This is a quick and easy project. Great for Party Favors, Bridal Showers, Graduation, Father’s Day and the list goes on.
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project. I’d love to see what your creations based on this idea.
